This is a limited edition variant of the electric hatchback
British automaker Mini has launched the Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition. This is a limited edition based on the electric hatchback and is priced at Rs 55 lakh. Only 20 units of this exclusive edition are being brought to India.
“Mini spreads Big Love by bringing the Mini 3-door Cooper SE in Chili Red, for the first time in India. It celebrates the legendary Go-Kart feeling and instant torque, all with zero emissions. The Mini Charged Edition is a bold, energetic and expressive car that perfectly fits the Mini Big Love spirit of a brave and daring brand which brings people and communities together. The Mini Charged Edition is your perfect partner for Urban Mobility. Every bit the original iconic Mini but powered for the roads of tomorrow.” commented Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India.
This is the first limited edition variant of the Cooper SE to make it to Indian shores. The exclusive bits include a Chili Red exterior paint with a white roof. Elements like the headlamps, taillamps, door handles, badges etc are finished in white. The car also gets red stripes and yellow highlights, which is the signature colour of the electric hatchback. It also gets 17-inch alloys with the unique Cooper SE design.
While the interiors are largely the same, there are some exclusive elements as the blacked out treatment. The interior too gets the same energetic yellow highlights, such as on the gear level and door sills. There is an 8.8-inch infotainment display and a 5-inch instrument display.
There are no changes to the Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition mechanically and as such it gets a 184bhp and 270Nm electric motor. This draws power from a 32.6kWh battery pack which gives it a single charge range of 270km. There are multiple driving modes. Customers have the option of using a 50kW DC fast charger or a 2.3kW portable charger.
Priced at Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition is exclusively available to book via the brand’s website.
