The Velar facelift is available in two engine options, 2.0L petrol and 2.0L Diesel
Jaguar Land Rover has launched the new 2023 Range Rover Velar in India. The SUV has received a minor facelift and feature update with a new cabin. Priced at Rs 93 lakh (ex-showroom), for both the petrol and the diesel variants.

2023 Range Rover Velar: exterior design updated
The handsome SUV now gets a slightly different grille. The headlamps now come with Pixel LED tech and a reconfigured LED DRLs. The LED taillamps too feature a slightly different design, while the bumpers front and rear have also been reworked. Customers can choose from two new colour options – metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Grey.
2023 Range Rover Velar: Interior gets new display
The SUV now gets a new 11.4-inch curved infotainment display, similar to other latest models from the brand. The display comes with the latest gen Pivi Pro UI. There are two new trim options for the cabin – Caraway and Deep Garnet. The display also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Land Rover has improved the cabin comfort by adding active noise cancellation tech.
2023 Range Rover Velar: Engines
Land Rover is offering the 2023 Range Rover Velar with two engine options in India. The petrol is a 2.0-litre mill, making 250bhp and 365Nm while the diesel too is a 2.0-litre motor making 204bhp and 420Nm. Both are mated to automatic transmissions with power being sent to all the wheels for the brand’s famed off-road prowess. The SUV comes with air suspension which can adjust ride height and offer maximum comfort or maximum performance off the road.
2023 Range Rover Velar: Price and competition
Compared to the older model, the Velar HSE is costlier by Rs 3.6 lakh. Both the Velar petrol HSE and Velar diesel HSE are priced at Rs 93 lakh, ex-showroom. It competes against the BMW X5, Audi Q7, Volvo XC90 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC in India
