Kia India has launched the Seltos SUV in India with prices starting at Rs 10.89 lakh. The SUV is new from almost every angle including the design, interior, features, tech and the engine options too.
2023 Kia Seltos : new exterior design
Based on the ‘Opposites United’ design language the Seltos looks much more sporty than before. It gets new LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, a new grille, new bumpers and a new tailgate with connected LED taillamps with guided turn indicators. Overall, the car is longer than the older Seltos by 50mm. The SUV also gets new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Kia is offering the 2023 Seltos in multiple colour options including two dual-tone and one XLine exclusive matte as well as new colour options.
2023 Kia Seltos: new interior and features
The cabin has been overhauled with more premium materials and more tech than before. There is a new 10.25-inch infotainment display and a 10.25-inch instrument display. The Seltos 2023 comes with dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, HUD, Bose audio, ventilated front seats, eight-way electrical adjustable driver’s seat to name a few.
Kia has added the benefit of Level 2 ADAS to the 2023 Seltos. This includes many active safety features as well as smart cruise control. There are a total of 32 safety features offered with the Seltos.
2023 Kia Seltos: Engine and transmission options
For 2023, the Kia Seltos comes with three engine options – the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel from before and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol. The 1.5 petrol produces 115bhp while the 1.5 diesel makes 116bhp, same as before. The petrol can be paired with a manual or an IVT, while the diesel is offered with an iMT or an AT, with no manual on offer. The new 1.5 turbo petrol makes 160bhp and 253Nm, and is offered with an iMT and a DCT.
2023 Kia Seltos: Variants and pricing
The prices for the Seltos are currently introductory and will be increased after a particular time period. Prices start at Rs 10.89 lakh and go up to Rs 19.99 lakh, which means that it isn’t much different in pricing compared to the older Seltos.
