Triumph, the renowned British motorcycle manufacturer, has launched its latest offering in the Indian market, the Scrambler 400 X. Priced at Rs 2,62,996 (ex-showroom), this stylish and capable motorcycle marks Triumph’s second foray into the 400cc segment in India, following the introduction of the Speed 400 in July, which is available at a competitive price of Rs 2,33,000 (ex-showroom). These two motorcycles are manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant, showcasing a partnership for excellence in the world of two-wheelers.

The Scrambler 400 X can be reserved on the Triumph Motorcycles India website by making a refundable token payment of Rs 10,000. It will be accessible through exclusive Triumph dealerships, which are set to expand their presence to over 100 cities during the fiscal year 2024.
Design Inspired by Heritage
The Scrambler 400 X draws design inspiration from the iconic Scrambler 900 and the Scrambler 1200, rooted in the off-road legacy of the original factory Scramblers from the 1950s. Conceived and designed in Hinckley, UK, this model proudly features quintessential Triumph design elements, including the signature sculpted fuel tank, classic engine profile, and impeccable fit and finish. It also boasts practical features such as headlight, radiator, and sump protection, handguards, a handlebar brace with pad, contemporary upswept silencer, dual-purpose tyres, and a longer front mudguard.
Feature-Packed Experience
The Scrambler 400 X comes equipped with all-LED lighting for the headlight, taillight, and indicators, complemented by signature LED DRL. Its instrumentation includes an analogue speedometer and an integrated LCD screen with a digital tachometer, fuel range indicator, and gear indicator. Convenience features like handlebar-mounted scroll buttons and a USB-C charging socket are included. The motorcycle also offers security features in the form of a steering lock and an anti-theft immobiliser as standard.
Powerful Performance
At the heart of the Scrambler 400 X is a 398cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that delivers 39.45bhp of maximum power and 37.5Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and includes features like a torque-assist clutch and ride-by-wire throttle.
Responsive Chassis
The Scrambler 400 X features a hybrid spine tubular steel frame and benefits from USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear, both offering 150mm of wheel travel. It rides on 10-spoke alloy wheels with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel. Braking performance is ensured with a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc. The comfortable seat height is set at 835mm. Additionally, the motorcycle includes a switchable traction control system and a Bosch dual-channel ABS, which can be deactivated for those who prefer an unassisted riding experience.

Triumph offers the Scrambler 400 X in three striking colours: Matte Khaki Green, Phantom Black, and Carnival Red.
