Japanese automaker has revealed the SUV for the Indonesian market at GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show)
Mitsubishi Motors has introduced its highly-anticipated Xforce, marking a significant addition to its SUV lineup. The Xforce is set to make its debut in the Indonesian market first before rolling out to various other regions across South East Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
Takao Kato, president and chief executive officer, Mitsubishi Motors said, ”while ensuring the all-new Xforce meets the requirements for driving performance, ease of handling, a comfortable interior, wide-ranging user-friendliness, and everything else demanded of a compact SUV, we have put our heart and soul into the development to bring excitement to the everyday driving of our customers. This compact SUV was developed to answer the needs of drivers in the ASEAN region and has gone through repeated tuning in the region’s road environment. We hope the all-new Xforce will become a best-suited buddy for any adventure that drivers wish to embark on, giving them an extra force to go one step further and experience something new.”
Measuring at 4,390mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,660mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 2,650mm, the Xforce offers spacious proportions. At the rear, you’ll find the distinctive Y-shaped taillamps, and the stylish 18-inch alloy wheels. Designed exclusively for the ASEAN region, the Mitsubishi Xforce is a versatile five-seater SUV. Its front fascia boasts a dynamic design, featuring a commanding sporty grille framed by Y-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and headlights. The robust lower section is equipped with substantial bumpers, enhancing the SUV’s rugged appearance.
The dashboard of the Mitsubishi Xforce seamlessly incorporates a generous 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The Xforce features the remarkable Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system with eight speakers. Additionally, the Xforce seamlessly integrates smartphone connectivity, a range of USB ports including both USB-A and USB-C.
Under the hood, the Mitsubishi Xforce is equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that generates 105bhp and a torque of 141Nm. Power from this engine is channeled to the front wheels through a seamless CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). The SUV offers four distinct drive modes and features the advanced Mitsubishi Active YAW Control system, enhancing its handling and stability.
