The fourth addition to its all-electric lineup, joining the EV6, EV9, and EV5, the EV3 boasts a 600km range
Kia has introduced the EV3, the fourth model in its all-electric lineup, joining the EV6, EV9, and EV5. This expansion reflects Kia’s commitment to broadening its EV range, with the EV3 drawing significant design and technology inspiration from the EV9.
Design and Dimensions
The EV3 showcases strong family ties in its design, borrowing numerous cues from the EV9. The front features the iconic tiger nose fascia, connected to horizontal and vertical lighting elements that define the distinct Kia EV look. The bumper is adorned with air vents and substantial plastic elements, giving it a robust appearance. The EV3 measures 4,300mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, its wheelbase stands at 2,680mm.
In profile, the EV3 boasts a futuristic SUV design with modern panels and geometric shapes, complemented by thick plastic cladding. A black strip runs from the rear windows to the rear windshield, creating a continuous look for the glasshouse. At the rear, sculpted LED taillamps and a vertical, flat tailgate enhance its aesthetic, while the alloys feature a funky, aerodynamic-inspired design.

Interior and Features
Inside, the EV3 mimics the cabin of the flagship EV9, featuring two 12.3-inch displays. It includes buttons for navigation and media control, along with a 5-inch display between the two larger screens serving as the climate control panel. The EV3 offers ample space thanks to a completely flat floor, maximizing cabin room. The central armrest includes a retractable table, and the seats offer a relaxation mode that fully reclines them. Additional features include a 12-inch HUD, ambient lighting, a Harman Kardon audio system, ADAS, and an AI assistant, a first for a Kia vehicle.
Performance and Battery Options
The EV3 comes with two battery pack options: a 58.3kWh unit and an 81.4kWh unit. Both variants utilize a front-axle mounted e-motor producing 201bhp and 283Nm of torque, allowing the EV3 to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 7.5 seconds. Kia claims the Long-Range variant offers a WLTP range of 600km. Based on a 400V architecture, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes using a DC fast charger.
Market Availability
While there is no confirmed launch date for the EV3 in India, it is expected that the electric SUV will arrive on Indian shores sometime next year.
