Korean automaker Kia has started taking bookings for the Kia Seltos facelift. The booking can be made for Rs 25,000, while the prices for the SUV will be revealed soon.
2023 Kia Seltos facelift: Skip the line with K-code
Customers can also generate a unique K-code to book their Kia Seltos. This is available in limited numbers, only for existing Seltos owners who can get the K-code via the brand’s website or MyKia app.
2023 Kia Seltos facelift: What is new?
The 2023 Kia Seltos comes with a refreshed look. This includes more prominent bumpers, redesigned headlamps and seamlessly integrated LED DRLs. The SUV also gets new taillamps with a LED connected strip. The rear bumper is also reprofiled and features twin-tip exhausts.
Inside, the Kia Seltos gets an updated layout with twin 10.25-inch displays – one for the infotainment and one for the instrumentation. The infotainment display gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, 8-inch HUD, rain-sensing wipers and Bose 8-speaker audio system.
The 2023 Kia Seltos also gets Level-2 ADAS. This comes with FCA – Forward Collision Assist, blind spot collision warning, lane keep assist, smart cruise control with stop and go. Safety features include six-airbags, TPMS, ESC, hill assist control and more, all of which are standard across the model range of the Seltos.
2023 Kia Seltos facelift: New engine
Kia is offering the 2023 Kia Seltos with three engines. Two of these are lifted from the older models, the 115bhp 1.5-litre petrol and the 116bhp 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT while the diesel is available with a 6-speed iMT and a 6-speed automatic. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol has been swapped in favour of the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol which produces 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. This can be paired with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT.
Prices for the 2023 Kia Seltos will be announced soon, with the price expected to range from Rs 11 to 22 lakh (excluding showroom). The Kia Seltos when launched will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and the Nissan Kicks.
