Kia launched affordable sunroof variant of the Sonet

Now the electric sunroof is available at a competitive price of Rs 9.76 lakh

Kia India has expanded the offerings of its sub-4 meter compact SUV, the Kia Sonet, by adding an electric sunroof to the HTK+ variant. This enhancement now provides an affordable option for customers interested in this feature. The Kia Sonet Smartstream G1.2 HTK+ variant, equipped with the electric sunroof, is available at a competitive price of Rs 9.76 lakh.

Kia has introduced an electric sunroof to the Kia Sonet’s Smartstream G1.2 HTK+ variant, priced at Rs 9.76 lakh. This move marks the first time the sunroof is available with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol variant of the Sonet. Previously, the sunroof was limited to the 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel variants.

The inclusion of the electric sunroof in the HTK+ variant reduces its cost by Rs. 73,000, making this feature more accessible to potential buyers. This strategic move is expected to drive sales, particularly during the festive season.

The Kia Sonet is a prominent player in the compact SUV market in India. It competes with other popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300.

Apart from the electric sunroof, the HTK+ variant offers a host of other features, including:

  • An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay with wireless phone projection
  • Four speakers and two tweeters for an enhanced audio experience
  • Fully automatic climate control
  • Automatic headlamps for added convenience

The Smartstream 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, powering this variant, delivers 81.86bhp of power and 115Nm of torque, ensuring a reliable and efficient performance.
