Styling and Features: ‘Daily Crossover’ Design

Following the design theme of ‘Daily Crossover,’ the NX500 boasts a compact adventure-style design with a robust silhouette suitable for city blocks, winding roads, highways, and gravel trails. The motorcycle features new all-LED headlight and tail lamp designs, contributing to its imposing yet nimble appearance.

Honda’s latest adventure touring bike incorporates premium technology, including a new 5-inch full-colour TFT screen with customisable display styles and background colours. The NX500 offers IOS/Android smartphone connectivity via Honda RoadSync, along with a backlit 4-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar for on-screen turn-by-turn navigation, calls, and music control through a Bluetooth headset. An emergency stop signal feature adds an extra layer of safety.

Engine and Performance: Energetic Powerhouse

Powering the NX500 is a 471cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC engine with a parallel twin-cylinder layout. Delivering 46.93bhp (35kW) power at 8,600rpm and 43Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm, coupled with a smooth 6-speed gearbox, the bike promises an enjoyable performance with a zappy top end. The assist/slipper clutch enhances upshifts and eliminates rear wheel hopping during braking and downshifting, and the switchable HSTC system ensures traction control on slippery terrains.

Suspension, Brakes, and Tyres: Optimal Balance

Built on a steel diamond-tube mainframe, the NX500 features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear trail-pattern radial tires for both on-road and off-road adventures. New cast aluminium Y-shaped 5-spoke alloy wheels enhance the bike’s appeal. Showa 41mm SFF-BP upside-down (USD) front forks and a Pro-Link mono-suspension with a 5-stage preload adjuster ensure superior comfort. Braking is handled by dual 296mm front discs and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Colours, Price, and Availability: Adventure Persona Unveiled

The All-New Honda NX500 is offered in three distinctive colour schemes – Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Pearl Horizon White. Priced competitively at Rs. 5,90,000, the adventure tourer is now available for bookings at HMSI’s premium BigWing dealerships across India.
