Ducati has launched the most powerful and expensive Panigale V4R in India priced at Rs. 69,99 lakh (ex-showroom). The flagship supersport motorcycle from Ducati comes with a Desmosedici Straddle R 998cc motor and this V4 engine produces 215bhp at 15,500rpm and 16,500rpm in sixth gear.
The power output can be maximise to 233.75bhp by using the optional Akrapovic racing full titanium exhaust system which costs Rs. 10.24 lakh more and can be further boosted with 3.45bhp more with specially formulated engine oil from Shell and takes the total power output to a dizzying 237.2bhp.
Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said at the launch, “The Panigale V4 R is the closest production motorcycle to a competition race bike ever. It’s the only Ducati that adopts technology and learnings from Ducati’s success in the MotoGP and WorldSBK Championship. The first lot of 5 bikes reached India and got sold out in no time which is a testament to Ducati’s legacy when it comes to superbikes. Today, the tickets for the first ever MotoGP race in India went live and it’s the perfect day to launch this special Panigale V4R edition!”
Ducati Panigale V4 R uses a aluminium front frame like before but suspension Ohlins – NPX25/30 at the front and a TTX36 rear shock are now manually controlled units. It uses Brembo Stylema brakes and has a dry weight of 193.5kg. The supersport motorcycle gets a special “1” treatment on front and side, reminiscent of Ducati’s MotoGP and World Superbike domination. The Panigale V4 R comes with a new Track Evo TFT display and refined traction control system.
The supersport motorcycle is a CBU from Italy at Rs. 69.99 lakh (ex-showroom). First lot of five units have arrived in India and all of them are already sold.
