BYD India has launched its latest pure-electric offering in the Indian market, the BYD Seal. Available in three variants – Dynamic, Premium, and Performance – the sedan is priced competitively, with prices starting at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design and Features
The BYD Seal boasts a distinctive four-door coupe-like body style, featuring sleek LED headlamps with unique V-shaped LED daytime running lights and slim wraparound LED tail lights. Equipped with sporty dual-tone alloy wheels and retractable door handles, the Seal exudes sophistication on the road.
Inside the cabin, drivers are greeted with a spacious interior equipped with a large 15.6-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, complemented by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display. Comfort features include ventilated and heated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and memory function for the seats & ORVMs, enhancing the overall driving experience.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Safety is a top priority for the BYD Seal, which comes loaded with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These include lane departure warning and prevention, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision warning system, cross-traffic alert, emergency braking assist, and blind spot assist, ensuring peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike.
Variants and Performance
The Dynamic variant is powered by a single electric motor producing 201bhp and 310Nm, supported by a 61.44kWh battery pack offering a maximum range of 510km. The Premium variant offers enhanced performance, with 308bhp and 360Nm from an 82.56kWh battery pack, delivering up to 650km of range.
For enthusiasts seeking even more power, the all-wheel-drive Performance variant features dual electric motors with a combined output of 523bhp and 670Nm, supported by an 82.56kWh battery. While offering a slightly lower range of 580km (NEDC), it compensates with torque vectoring and adaptive dampers for superior handling.
Charging Capabilities
All variants support 7kW AC fast charging, with the Dynamic trim capable of charging at speeds up to 110kW DC, while the higher variants support up to 150kW DC fast charging, ensuring convenient and efficient charging options for owners.
