The much-awaited facelifted 2023 BMW X5 has made its grand entry into the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 93.90 lakh. The revamped SUV showcases a refined exterior, enhanced interior, and more powerful engines.

2023 BMW X5: Exterior
The 2023 BMW X5 boasts several exterior updates, including an illuminated ‘Iconic Glow’ grille and revised air intakes. Both the front and rear bumpers feature refreshed geometry, while the taillamps have been reworked for a captivating look. Standard 21-inch alloy wheels add to its bold presence. The X5 offers two trim options: xLine and M Sport. The xLine variant comes with roof rails as standard, along with satin aluminium exterior trim. The M Sport trim enhances the X5’s sportiness, featuring a sportier bumper, glossy black roof rails, a dark shadow rear bumper, and trapezoidal exhaust tips.
2023 BMW X5: Interior
Stepping inside the 2023 BMW X5, you’ll find an updated interior highlighted by the BMW Widescreen Curved Display, combining a 12.3-inch instrument display with a 14.9-inch infotainment display. The SUV also features an ambient light bar below the infotainment display, similar to the BMW 7 Series. Sports seats with heating and electric adjustability are standard, while the M Sport trim offers Comfort seats with full electric adjustability, heating, and ventilation. The X5 comes equipped with numerous comfort and convenience features, including four-zone climate control, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, a panoramic sunroof, an M Leather steering wheel, ambient lighting, and glass highlights for touch surfaces, among others.
2023 BMW X5: Engines
In terms of power, both the petrol and diesel engines in the 2023 X5 now benefit from a mild-hybrid 48V electric motor. The petrol variant, X5 xDrive40i, is equipped with a 3.0-litre inline-six turbocharged engine, delivering 375.78bhp and 520Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 5.4 seconds. The diesel variant, X5 xDrive30d, features a 3.0-litre inline-six engine producing 282bhp and 650Nm of torque, allowing the X5 to go from 0 to 100kmph in 6.1 seconds. Both engines offer increased power and improved efficiency due to the integration of mild-hybrid systems. The xDrive AWD technology ensures excellent traction on all surfaces, while features such as automatic brake differentials and locks, dynamic traction control, and adaptive 2-axle air suspension enhance the driving experience.
