Audi India has introduced the Q8 e-tron in the Indian market, representing a significant upgrade to the e-tron SUV. This revamped model boasts a fresh exterior design, increased range, and a host of new features. Pricing starts at Rs 1.14 crore for the standard SUV variant and Rs 1.18 crore for the Sportback variant (prices are ex-showroom). Buyers can secure their orders for the electric SUV/Sportback by making a booking deposit of Rs 5 lakh.
In terms of design, the Q8 e-tron showcases a new grille with a striking mesh pattern and a prominent LED bar that spans the width of the front fascia. Additionally, it proudly displays Audi’s latest 2D logo. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, while the 20-inch alloy wheels now sport a fresh design.
Changes within the cabin are more subtle. The Q8 e-tron features a dual-screen setup with a 10.1-inch display for infotainment and an 8.6-inch display for climate control and seat ventilation settings. The interior is further equipped with a fully digital instrument panel, a premium 16-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system, a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera for enhanced convenience and luxury.
The Sportback variant, with its sleeker design, touts an impressive claimed range of 600km for the Q8 e-tron Sportback 55 and a still commendable 505km for the Q8 e-tron Sportback 50. In contrast, the Q8 e-tron SUV, holds its own with claimed ranges of 491km for the 50 model and 582km for the 55 variant.
Audi includes a 22kW AC charger as part of the package for the Q8 e-tron, and these vehicles also support rapid 170kW DC fast charging. The introduction of the Audi Q8 e-tron reflects Audi’s commitment to the electric vehicle market in India and offers consumers an enticing blend of style, technology, and improved range.
