The new Astor price starts at Rs 9.98 lakh and goes up to 17.9 lakh
MG Motor India has launched the MG Astor 2024, a petrol-only SUV available at a competitive starting price of Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered in five distinctive variants: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro.
Engine Options Catering to Varied Preferences
The MG Astor 2024 offers two engine options to cater to diverse preferences. It features a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit with 110bhp and 144Nm torque and a 1.3-litre turbocharged unit with 140bhp and 220Nm torque. The 1.5-litre engine is available with a choice of a 6-speed MT or a CVT, while the 1.3-litre engine comes paired with a 6-speed AT.
Loaded with Premium Features
Setting a new standard for features in its segment, the MG Astor 2024 comes equipped with ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, a panoramic sunroof, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The updated i-Smart 2.0 offers an advanced user interface, and there are over 80 connected features, including Jio voice recognition for weather, cricket updates, calculator, clock, date/day information, horoscope, dictionary, news, and knowledge.
Innovative i-Smart 2.0 Features
MG Astor stands out as the first SUV in India to introduce a personal AI assistant and 14 autonomous Level 2 features. These features, powered by mid-range radars and a multi-purpose camera, provide an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). Noteworthy additions include the Jio voice recognition system and widget customisation on the home screen, making the user interface highly intuitive and personalised.
Safety and Competition
The MG Astor prioritises safety with 49 features in this department. It enters a competitive market, taking on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
