Hero MotoCorp, the largest two-wheeler producer in the nation, has unveiled the much anticipated Hero Karizma XMR 210 2023 at a starting price of Rs 1,72,900 (ex-showroom). The storied “Karizma” nameplate has been revived by the company which made its debut in India two decades ago. Bookings for the motorcycle are already underway.
Bollywood actor Hritik Roshan has also returned as the brand ambassador for the Karizma, he helped stem the motorcycles a sportsbike during its initial years in the Indian market.
A dynamic aero-layered design can be found on the Hero Karizma XMR 210 2023. It comes with a segment-first adjustable windshield and an LED projector headlamp, and other premium bits. Customers can choose between red, yellow and black colours.
It has a completely digital LCD instrument cluster, which comes with smartphone connectivity and allows turn-by-turn navigation. It gets lightweight clip-on handlebars and a six-step monoshock rear suspension. Additionally, the motorcycle includes Bluetooth connectivity. A segment-first turn-by-turn navigation system is also available.
The 2023 Hero Karizma XMR features an all new 210cc DOHC liquid cooled motor which produces 25.5bhp and 20.4Nm of torque. These figures make it the most powerful motorcycle in its class. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with an assist and slip clutch. The Karizma XMR is the first Hero motorcycle to feature dual-channel ABS. Braking is handled by a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm rotor at the rear.
Priced at Rs 1.72 lakh, the Hero Karizma XMR competes against the Yamaha R15 V4, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and the KTM RC 200. For now, this is the most affordable motorcycle in the segment, but this is an introductory price, which will be hiked by Rs 10,000 to Rs 1.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
