India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has launched its highly anticipated models, the track-focused R3 and the street-savvy MT-03, as part of the resounding brand initiative – The Call of the Blue. The MT-03 is priced at Rs 4.6 lakh (ex-showroom) while the R3 comes with a price tag of Rs 4.65 lakh (ex-showroom). These models will be available in India as Completely Built-Up Units (CBUs) and will be exclusively sold through select Blue Square dealerships of Yamaha. Bookings for both models has already been started from 15th December.
Meeting Aspirations: Elevating the Riding Experience
Catering to the rising expectations of enthusiasts, particularly those of the young R15 and MT-15 customer base in India, the R3 and MT-03 boast a robust 321cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, in-line two-cylinder engine. This powerhouse delivers 41.42bhp (30.9kW) at 10,750rpm of maximum power and 29.5Nm (3 kg-m) at 9,000rpm of maximum torque. Featuring a lightweight diamond frame, Upside Down Front Forks, long swingarm, and mono-cross rear suspension, these models promise a pure motorcycling experience.
Design and Features: Aesthetics and Innovation
Both motorcycles come equipped with a multi-function LCD instrument cluster, LED headlight, taillight, and turn signal lights. The R3, inspired by the YZR-M1, is tailored for hardcore motorcyclists, while the MT-03, adorned with daring artwork, appeals to riders seeking torque and agility.

The MT-03, part of the hyper-naked family, boasts the concept of “MTs that stimulate your Pride – The Evolution to a True MT Sibling.” With an aggressive design and a distinctive “MT” look, it emphasises mass-forward body design, offering a snug fit and comfortable riding position.

Both models feature a compact and lightweight diamond frame chassis, ensuring optimum strength, rigidity, and neutral handling.
