The exclusive GT Edge Limited Collection will be manufactured basis online bookings by customers at the Volkswagen India website
Volkswagen India has launched three new GT variant of the Taigun and Virtus. Company also launched GT Edge Limited Collection models based on three new launched GT variants. As per Volkswagen, they are making the GT badge more accessible with the introduction of new variants in the performance line on the Taigun and Virtus.
The Volkswagen introduces Taigun – GT DSG and GT Plus manual transmission at an introductory price of Rs. 16.79 lakh and Rs. 17.77 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). With this SUV will be offered in nine variants across the two powertrain Dynamic (1.0l TSI) and Performance Line (1.5l TSI EVO engine). The Taigun GT Edge Limited Collection will be available with Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte, in GT Plus and GT Plus DSG variant.
Volkswagen Virtus gets new entry level GT Plus variant with manual transmission and priced at Rs. 16.89 lakh. The sedan GT Plus DSG variant in Deep Black Pearl will be available at Rs. 18.76 lakh.
On the occasions Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “For over a decade, Indian customers have aspired to own the much sought after GT badge that has been a symbol of unparalleled performance and power, commanding respect. With its strong legacy of fun-to-drive, the GT badge was introduced on the Performance Line (1.5l TSI EVO engine) variants of the Taigun & Virtus. Today, we are taking a step further and democratizing the GT badge by introducing newer variants for customers to choose from.”
