The Jimny Thunder edition price reduced to Rs 2 lakh compare to standard variant
Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the limited-edition Jimny Thunder Edition, offering a substantial price reduction of Rs 2 lakh compared to the standard Jimny, with a starting price of Rs 10.74 lakh. While specific omissions from the standard model are not explicitly mentioned by Maruti Suzuki, the Thunder Edition comes equipped with several additional accessories.
Notable features of the Jimny Thunder Edition include a front skid plate, side door cladding, door visor, door sill guard, grip cover, floor mats, and exterior graphics. The SUV also boasts silver garnish on the front bumper, ORVMs, fenders, and bonnet.
The Thunder Edition is available in both manual and automatic transmissions. The Zeta MT is priced at Rs. 10.74 lakh, the Zeta AT at Rs. 11.94 lakh, the Alpha MT at Rs. 12.69 lakh, and the Alpha MT dual-tone variant at Rs. 12.85 lakh. The automatic variants include the Alpha AT at Rs. 13.89 lakh and the Alpha AT dual-tone at Rs. 14.05 lakh.
While the Thunder Edition introduces these additional features, Maruti Suzuki has maintained the mechanical configuration of the standard Jimny. It retains the 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, delivering 103bhp and 134Nm of torque. The engine can be paired with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed torque converter, sending power to all four wheels through Maruti Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4×4 system, which incorporates a low-range gearbox.
